Mindfulness Support for Addiction Recovery

Current research shown that mindfulness provides a strong support for those in recovery form addiction/alcoholism.

Not only does it help to cut through cycles of craving, it also provides a foundation for deeper engagement with one’s own emotional life, leading to insight and clarity about self-defeating patterns.

The programme has increasingly shifted to working with somatic basis of awareness, and provides alcoholics with some simple tools to draw on mindfulness as a resource. Alcoholics and addicts receive a basic introduction and are encouraged to continue seeking out local resources for strengthening their practice and incorporating it into their daily, sober lives.
