Sandhya Luther began studying Tibetan-Buddhism in 1992, and in 1999, started formal academic work in Buddhist Studies, earning a Master of Divinity degree from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado. She has attended extensive teachings with several Buddhist teachers in India and the US and undertaken many retreats.
She also has an MA in International and Intercultural Communication with an emphasis in Human Rights from the University of Denver.
She received training as a meditation instructor, as well as in conflict mediation, domestic and intimate partner violence education and advocacy, spiritual mentoring, Authentic LeadershipTM, Ethical CommunicationTM, Motivational InterviewingTM, suicide awareness and prevention, and restorative justice, among others.
Her professional experience includes media, communications, HIV/AIDS education in India, and management in social services and higher education and victim/survivor advocacy in the USA. Her interests are in the fields of psychology, personal growth, healing, and world wisdom traditions.
